On March 22, 2010 a pre-hearing on Anastasia Denisova's case (the head of NGO “ETHnICS”, member of the Coordinating Council of YHRM, an employee of HRC “Memorial” and Green Alternative activist) took place in Leninskyi regional court of Krasnodar.

Marina Dubrovina, the lawyer, representing Anastasia's interests on the initiative of the Interregional Human Rights Association “AGORA”, asked for the elimination of criminal proceedings because of gross violations at the investigation stage. The defense insisted on the termination because of the absence of the document, which annuls an order to dismiss criminal complaint. All of a sudden, it turned out today at the pre-hearing that such a document has showed up in the criminal case. Then Marina Dubrovina asked to return the criminal case to the prosecutor in order to eliminate serious mistakes in the indictment. The judge Herman Lonshakov allowed the representative of the Prosecutor' Office to prepare official reply to the motion and it must be done till March 24, 2 p.m., the time for which the final session of a pre-hearing is set. During the pre-hearing session Herman Lonshakov will decide, whether to hand the case back over to the Prosecutor, or to appoint the open court hearing.

Investigation insists that Denisova has violated author's rights while using Microsoft and Corel software and has made use of “harmful programs” (viruses) as well. The head of the “ETHnICS” organization pleads not guilty and links persecution to her professional activities.
